Engraving

Jewellery engraving is a wonderful way to turn a piece of jewellery into a unique piece of jewellery that tells someone how you truly feel about them. Jewellery engraving allows you to put your own message on the piece of jewellery with one of the two forms of jewellery engraving available.

Machine Engraving

Machine jewellery engraving is carried out by an electrical pen engraver and is an inexpensive engraving option.

Hand Engraving

Hand jewellery engraving is a highly skilled art form and at Chilton’s our skilled artisan, Michael, will be able to hand engrave your jewellery with skill, style and sophistication. Michael is an Irish jewellery engraver who can recreate the original engraving designs that were once used over 100 years ago. Michael studied in Ireland and England where he attended a collage of art and learnt his skills. Michael uses original antique chisels that have been passed down to him from other master engravers; some of these tools are well over 100 years old. He also specialises in heraldic engraving and family seals (coats of arms) and crests. This is an intricate process and is very time consuming. Michael also does alot of ecclesiastical work for churches including engravings upon chalices and crosses. Jewellery engraving jobs may take 2-3weeks to be completed, but you will not be disappointed. Your designs can be drawn first for your approval.
