At Chilton’s Antiques we offer a jewellery hire service for those special occasions such as
Weddings & Black Tie events.
So rather than wearing second rate jewellery to your big event you may dazzle & shine in the real
thing. In the case of weddings with the age old tradition of-
“Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, & Something Blue”.
You may borrow from our wonderful range of Modern contemporary, Vintage & Antique jewellery.
The hiring system works when you come into our store in person & choose the jewellery you would like
to hire, this is done through prior arrangement. The goods are then held to when you require them (we
can hold them for up to 2weeks prior to the big event - until this period the goods are still open for
sale in the store) with the hiring of the jewellery we allow you to lease the pieces for a 4 day period
which allows you to borrow the jewellery for your big event & return it when the event is over.
The fees for hiring pieces are as follows:
Goods with the total value under $500- hired for four days 20% of the total cost of the goods
Goods with the total value over $500- hired for four days 15% of the total cost of the goods
Goods with the total value over $2000- hired for four days 10% of the total cost of the goods
We also require that you must leave with us a credit card authorization for the full amount of the
