Jewellery valuation involves the examination and assessment of your jewellery to determine its quality and value in the current jewellery market. At Chilton’s we are also proud members of the Australian National Council of Jewellery Valuers and our highly qualified and experienced valuers offer a range of jewellery valuations services. All our jewellery valuations are carried out at our Sydney premises and we can even perform your valuation while you wait.

Types of Valuations

The three types of jewellery valuations that we perform (and provide valuation certificates for) at Chilton’s include:

1. Probate (Estate division)

2. Insurance (Replacement value)

3. Re-Sale (Approximate price goods will fetch if put up for sale in the current market)

Items that are valued under $800 do not require a valuation certificates, but if your jewellery is valued at over $800 we can provide the necessary certificate.

Our jewellery valuation charges include:
All items valued = $48 per item
A Verbal Valuation only up to 5 items = $20*
A Verbal Valuation only on 1 item = $10*

*These fees will be waived it the goods are purchased at Chilton’s Antiques
If you interesting in selling an item to Chilton’s Antiques we will not charge you for telling you “Yes” or “No” to whether we’re interested in buying it.
If you purchase an item at Chilton’s Antiques that is valued over $1000 then we will not charge you for an updated valuation certificate.
Our valuation charges are very competitive for our level of expertise.
